Go Gray in May for Brain Tumor/Cancer awareness 🧠🎗 Breckin's 2nd chemo round took place in the ICU a year ago ⤵️ A total of eight days.... This ICU round, a child a few doors down passed. My wife, Shannon, didn't know until Breckin and they decided to take a walk. The nurses asked Shannon to take him back to the room.... She was confused at first but then saw the wooden box on top of the hospital bed in the hallway. The heaviness in the air could have been been cut with a knife. She never said anything to Breckin but I think he knew. These were extremely hard days 💔
It's been one heck of a year!! We are so grateful for those that have been on this crazy, emotional journey with us. This last year we faced trials and tribulations that tested our marriage and our family. There are things our family went through that I have only shared in person and most likely will keep it that way. It takes time to heal 💗 heal from the things that were lost. But in that loss, so much more was gained. My biggest part of healing is overcoming the triggers. I have not been able to sleep well since all this started. But every day I wake from the small amount of sleep I get, I wake with gratitude knowing I have all four children alive and healthy under one roof. As much as the girls bickering causes me to lose my mind at times, I'm grateful I get to be home with them and not be living in another state 404 miles away. **This morning as I was having my coffee when this FB post came up in my memories. It was the first time for me to go through and read the comments. As I read them, I hearted 💗 them .... I guess it's my way of saying Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the prayers and uplifting comments!! We love you all 😘 - Shannon Gallagher
Breckin will be celebrating "1-Year Declared Cancer Free on May, 20th!!" In celebration, I am giving his #BRECKINSTRONG bracelets away to all adjusted this month! It's Infrared Light Therapy that we got for Breckin after his Brain Surgery in 2016 to help speed his healing process.
Is Infrared Light Therapy effective?
Absolutely. NIR polychromatic spectrum - which has been
documented through thousands of fundamental research studies to
